Unwind, Rejuvenate & Rediscover Your Flow

IMG_3577.jpg

Welcome,
I'm so glad you're here!

I'm Tarynn Kettel, owner of Pacific Sol Massage and a licensed massage therapist (MA61582656) practicing in the beautiful Pacific Northwest.

As a Pacific Northwest resident and a mom, I understand the active lifestyles and everyday stresses we all face. Whether you're a parent, a desk-jockey, an athlete, or someone who needs a moment to unwind, I believe massage therapy can be a powerful tool for promoting overall well-being.

My passion lies in understanding how the body works and how massage can support your body's natural ability to heal and restore. My priority is creating a safe and supportive space where you can truly relax and let go of tension.

Because everyone's needs are different, I use a combination of techniques – deep tissue work, myofascial release, muscle manipulation, structural alignment, joint mobilization, cupping therapy, hot stones, Swedish massage, Shiatsu and Thai – to create a personalized session that's just right for you.

Together, we can create a massage experience that leaves you feeling renewed and ready to conquer the day's adventures, or unwind for a restful night.

Hi! I'm Tarynn Kettel, owner of Pacific Sol Massage and licensed massage therapist (MA61582656)!

My Inner Sol

When I'm not working with clients to help them loosen up and feel their best, I find myself drawn to all sorts of activities that keep me energized and creative. I love hitting the trails for a good hike - there's nothing quite like the fresh air and challenge of a new path. Back at home, I enjoy some friendly competition with my husband over a game of cribbage – though I have to admit, he usually handles the scoring (wink), card games with my kids, and of course family movie nights! I also have a passion for transforming old furniture with a fresh coat of paint and extra decorating touches.

To balance out the quiet time, I love getting my sweat on at a group fitness class at Onyx. It's a great way to push myself and connect with others who enjoy staying active. And of course, there's nothing better than catching a concert – immersing myself in the energy of a performance is pure joy.

For moments of peace and renewal, I love tending to my garden. Watching things grow and nurturing them from seed to bloom is incredibly rewarding. And finally, there's nothing quite like a beach day! Exploring the tide pools, feeling the sand between my toes, boogie boarding with the kids, and combing the beach for treasures....it lights my "sol" on fire.

  • What are the benefits of Massage Therapy?
There are plenty! Regular massage therapy offers a range of benefits for both injury recovery and overall well-being. By improving flexibility and reducing muscle tension, it can significantly enhance your range of motion and make everyday movements feel easier. Massage therapy can also address past and present injuries, improve posture affected by daily activities, and help manage occupational stress. Furthermore, it can positively impact your mental state by calming the nervous system and counteracting the physical effects of stress and anxiety.
  • What type of pressure do you use?
I usually start with my "medium" pressure so my clients can feel confident in my ability to adjust less or more accordingly. I am capable of using anywhere from a 1 to a 10 (1 being light pressure, 10 being firm pressure, and 5 being somewhere in the middle). If you prefer a deep-tissue style massage, we'll likely be a good fit! The pressure used during treatment is based on several factors such as what conditions you are presenting with, how your body responds to treatment, and of course - your individual preferences. This will be discussed with you during your initial intake.
  • What is your massage style?
I provide targeted, therapeutic treatment infused with deep tissue techniques, Swedish, Myofascial massage, Shiatsu, and Thai. In addition, and at no extra cost, I include cupping, hot stones and towels. Each session will be tailored to the individual.
  • Are your services covered by health insurance?
Yes, massage therapy is generally covered by health insurance, unless specified otherwise by your insurance plan. Make sure to refer to your specific plan for coverage details to ensure massage therapy is covered and if a doctor's prescription is required for service reimbursement. Clients are responsible for submitting their own insurance claim to their insurance provider. Let me know if you plan to submit your receipt for insurance reimbursement, and I will provide you with an insurance receipt (aka. Superbill)!
  • Do I need to tip?
Gratuity isn’t included in the value of service and always appreciated, but never expected. If you'd like to show your appreciation, I happily accept friend and family referrals, as well as Google and Facebook Reviews!
  • What is your Cancellation Policy?
A valid credit card will be required when booking your initial appointment, and will be stored safely and securely via Noterro. Life throws curveballs, I get it! But to be fair to everyone, please provide at least 48 hours notice if you need to reschedule or cancel your appointment. Late cancellations (less than 48-hours notice) will be charged the full service fee. No-Shows Happen, But... If you miss your appointment entirely without notice this is considered a no-show and full service fee will be charged. Running a Bit Late? No worries, just send me a quick message. Out of respect for your time and the next client's appointment, your massage session may be shortened if you arrive late. The full service fee will still be charged. Running Really Late? If you're running super late (more than 20 minutes) and there's not enough time in that day’s schedule for an adjusted session, we may need to reschedule your appointment. A full service fee will be charged. In turn, If I ever need to cancel, reschedule, or am running late to our scheduled appointment, I will contact you right away. You will never be charged for a canceled appointment, and my service fee for a late appointment will be adjusted accordingly if the full intended service cannot be provided.
  • What payment methods do you accept?
Payment is accepted via cash, all major debit/credit cards, and HSA/FSA. A receipt will be provided following your treatment, which you can submit to your insurance company for reimbursement if applicable.
  • How often should I receive a massage?
Each case is individual and will be determined after your initial intake and treatment. Unless we're working through an acute injury that needs more frequent treatment, every 4-6 weeks for regular, maintenance care is typical.
  • Do I need to book in advance?
Yes! To ensure you secure a spot that works best with your schedule, booking ahead is definitely recommended.
  • Am I expected to chat during my session?
Nope! I'm happy to chat, or I'm happy to be silent. When it comes to conversation, I follow your lead. It is also perfectly acceptable to say, "I'm feeling like a silent day today." No questions asked.
  • Can I bring a friend to my appointment?
You are welcome to book back-to-back appointments with a friend or partner, but arriving solo for your individual appointments appointments is required. If your child is the one receiving a treatment, you are of course welcomed to stay. My waiting area is not suitable for pets, friends, children, or guests.
